TPS was founded in 2014 to address a critical gap in English test preparation: the need for specialized instruction beyond general ESL teaching. Unlike many providers, we exclusively employ tutors who possess:

Our services cater to Ottawa-area residents through in-home tutoring, while offering online instruction to students worldwide. Each program is custom-designed to help clients achieve their specific goals, whether for:

Our Services Guarantee

​If after taking a package course of a 3-6-week program, and fulfilling all assignments given, a student does not improve his or her overall score by at least one band level, the student is entitled to one free online tutorial, one lecture and 4 free markings. A student must provide official transcripts to TPS within a week of receiving the score.

Material

Tutor Services

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure that students who work hard studying the English language:
1) have a fair chance to succeed.
2) understand fully the expectations of the standardized English exams they are preparing. 
3) are able to independently do and assess practice tests confidently.
Those who finish a program at TPS should be more comfortable and confident before and while taking their test.

Message from President

At TPS, the most important principles are integrity and honesty. We always seek to build trust and thrive on the partnerships we create with students. Even when students can't reach their goals as fast as they would like, we are ready to help them until they do. In my long experience with students, when any student wants to enter a desired university or school, obtain their PR or citizenship, or work in a reputable company, they eventually do if they persist.

Teacher Qualifications

All tutors who work for TPS must have a Masters in Linguistics, Literature or TESOL, have a recognized TESOL qualification (TESL Canada)  or a teaching certificate from a Canadian province. More on tutor qualifications

Marking

 Marking of all essays will be done promptly and provide color-coded analysis based on content, structure, lexical and grammatical accuracy.  More on tutor services
