TPS - Finding a CAEL Tutor in Toronto
Our approach to CAEL preparation focuses on helping students not only become familiar with the test format but also develop effective and efficient strategies tailored to their unique needs. We aim to reduce test anxiety, build confidence, and foster an independent approach to tackling practice tests. Through an experimental and discovery-based tutorial process, we work with students to identify the strategies that work best for them. Practice is assessed not only through writing but also through speaking recordings submitted to tutors, allowing for personalized feedback. Listening and reading assignments are complemented by reflective analysis, where students evaluate their own performance and identify areas for improvement.
We emphasize the importance of open communication between students and tutors. Students are encouraged to share their concerns, perceived shortcomings, and any previous work related to the CAEL or other English proficiency tests. This helps us tailor the program to address specific weaknesses and build on existing strengths. Our goal is to create a collaborative and supportive learning environment that empowers students to achieve their best possible results.
We are now accepting new students in Toronto starting February 2025. Lessons are a minimum of 2 hours, priced at $60 per houror or $120 per lesson, with an additional $15 per hour for each extra student. After the first lesson, the next four lessons must be paid in advance. During the initial meeting, a free consultation is conducted with the tutor to assess the student’s needs and establish a customized schedule and program. A full CAEL final practice test can also be arranged, though it requires a full 2-hour session and will be billed as a regular lesson.
