CELPIP Exam Locations in Ottawa (Nepean)
There is one CELPIP center in Nepean and another towards central Ottawa but this could change soon now that it is fast being accepted as an alternative English immigration test to IELTS. For now, the other option is to either travel into Toronto, where there are seven CELPIP locations offering it or to go into Montreal where there just one testing center.
The full addresses of the two in Ottawa are listed below but do not make enquiries there. CELPIP is a very centralized testing outfit and want all registration procedures and enquiries done through them. If you have any general inquiries,it is best not to waste time making them at the individual testing centers. Instead, go through the official CELPIP website first under requests and if still have queries, contact their new CELPIP Testing office.

Registering for CELPIP in Ottawa (Nepean)

Special Needs Requests
My experience with students that have special needs and want accommodation is that it takes some aggressive persistence but generally you will be granted accommodations if you can show documentation. The accommodation is usually in the form of more time granted if you can demonstrate problems with reading and they do have private rooms to ensure you or other test takers are not distracted. It starts with a Special Accommodations Request Form(PDF) which lists all its conditions. The wording on the request form is unbelievably complex so I will make it easier.
Basically it says you need to get a recent (within 5 years) medical report or letter from a medical professional who reviews the CELPIP test and clealry states which problems you would have with it. Send in the request and medical document together but separately attached. Don't assume you have your requests granted until they confirm it. Be assertive with CELPIP if you feel they are not doing enough in the test to accommodate you. Remember it is CELPIP's duty to accommodate you since they are granted the privilege by Canada Immigration of being an accepted English test for immigration purposes. Do the request process early because in my experience they often come back to you with requests that you have actually already fulfilled.
