TPS - Finding an SAT Tutor in Edmonton
Getting tutoring at home or at a nearby library is entirely possible and convenient. That’s not the difficult part. In fact, tutoring can save you time and, ultimately, money.
The real challenge lies in ensuring the following:
If you can communicate this to the tutor that will help him or her to design the most effective program.
The real challenge lies in ensuring the following:
- You truly need to take the test. The SAT is not only expensive but also requires significant effort. Before committing, ask yourself if attending a U.S. university or college is the best choice for your career goals. Many U.S. colleges are now dropping the SAT requirement or accepting the ACT as an alternative. If you’ve already chosen a career path, research whether a U.S. degree will genuinely help you advance in that field. Keep in mind that many employers place less emphasis on where you earn your undergraduate degree.
- You are prepared for the hard work and time commitment. Balancing SAT preparation with your high school studies can be challenging. Scoring well on the SAT requires dedicated time and effort. Consider which days work best for you and how much time you can realistically allocate to studying without overwhelming yourself.
- You understand your strengths and weaknesses in English and the SAT. Identify which areas of English or the SAT give you the most difficulty. Have you explored the TPS SAT site or done a few of the test samples recommended by TPS? Being able to communicate your specific challenges to your tutor will help them design a program tailored to your needs, making your preparation more effective.
