CAEL Exam Dates, Times and Fees in Ottawa
CAEL Exam Dates
For a schedule of all the CAEL tests you can go to the official website. For some strange reason the CAEL website administered by Paragon Testing only releases dates within a month or two, so we can only show limited dates. Ottawa has two places that hold the CAEL CE. As you can see below, one disadvantage of the CAEL test is its limited offering for test dates.
1. English Testing Center (ETC) Ottawa (CAEL CE)
This is the closest to East Ottawa and in the downtown area at 150 Isabella St. Unit 155 Ottawa

2 Algonquin College
The other test center is more towards the west at Algonquin College at 1385 Woodroffe Avenue

April 25, 2020 - Saturday at 10am
If none of these times work for you, you can see about taking a bus or drive up to Montreal (the closest location from Ottawa). There are a few more open times there:
1 Concordia University
Concordia University is in downtown Montreal at 1250 Guy Street, Montreal, Canada

There is also one center in Montreal at Herzing College 1616 Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest that offers the computer test.

June 6, 2020, 2:30 pm
We not authorized to do register anyone but give us a ring if you are having trouble doing CAEL registration yourself or you can contact them for assistence. Try the sample test on that page before you do so because that will tell you whether this test is really for you.

How Much is the CAEL Test?
CAEL is $225, the cheapest University entrance test of the major ones (ie IELTS ($309), TOEFL ($245) and CanTEST ($265). However, bear in mind that unlike IELTS and CAnTEST, its oral test is done through the computer. Can I Appeal My Score in CAEL?
It's funny how almost every testing organization likes to bury this issue in a FAQ link and so for this reason I will make it easy for you to find without all the searching - right below: If you need confirmation go to the FAQ section of the official test
CAEL states that you can apply for a re-evaluation of some or all components of your CAEL, but you have to get in your application within 6 weeks of the test date. As is the case with all tests, you have to pay to get it re-evaluated and of course this is the gamble you make becasue f the test score changes you get your money refunded but of not, you lose it. However, you can just get the one component re-evlauated, which is a better policy than IELTS' insistence on your paying for reevalauting everything.
The re-evaluation fee is $65.00 per component which seems a bit strange since the test is only $225.
If you feel that your test was incorrectly evaluated, log into your CAEL Account. and you will find information about how to get the forms.
