If you are seeking a tutor, first exhaust all the available free resources, workshops and peer tutorials and much of this is outlined on the the Heritage College website. At Heritage CEGEP, there is a free peer tutor service that you can: email or call 819 778-2270, Ext. 1310. It is free and gives you some advice on how to approach the exam. While they are not trained teachers, they at least give you some insight, since they have usually taken the test before.
However, it we believe it may be wise to also seek out additional tutoring in the Exit Exam by using a professional teacher tutor who can give appropriate feedback, mark unlimited numbers of practice essays and can put you to a full-fledged writing program. When you enroll in a program you should expect the following
You should NOT expect:
Classes are 2 hours at $60/hr or $120/lesson. (each additional student is $15/hr).
Sorry, no 1-hour class is possible. After the first class, 4 subsequent classes must be paid in advance

When you enroll in a program you should expect the following
- Professionalism - including well- prepared, on time, and relevant lessons.
- Professionally prepared Materials - including handouts, study material and homework or practice materials put in your computer directly or on a USB.
- Homework Marking - promptly done and never refused.
- Feedback - truthful but encouraging
You should NOT expect:
- A tutor to do supply you with ready made essays that can be used or formulaic templates that fit all essays. If this is your expectation, you are right now looking at the wrong service.
- A teacher to wait for you to arrive late and then start the class at that arrival time. Classes start and finish according to the schedule.
- A tutorial to be treated like a drop-in arrangement, whereby cancellations and rescheduling becomes a habit.
