Registering for the PTE Test in Ottawa
To register for the PTE test, the best way is to do it online at the official PTE Exam page. You'll have to go through the typical step by step process online. I do not know whether you can register over phone at the Pearson Professional Centres but I would suspect that they would just tell you to do it online.
Fees, Cancellation and Score Appeals
The PTE fee is $300, expensive for a computerized test that has no face to face interview
PTE is by far the most generous organization when it comes to arriving late. The official site states "Contact the relevant customer service team as soon as you know you are going to be late. If you arrive up to 15 minutes late you may still be allowed to take it. You will still get the full three hours to complete the test."
However, its cancellation policy is ambiguous
It states "If you fail to turn up to your appointment you will not generally receive a refund. You may receive a partial refund if you cancel your test before the appointment date. In some circumstances we will try to reschedule your test free of charge."
Does this mean you will get the refund or not? It is hard to say but I imagine with good documentation you can get a free rescheduling which would make it the most generous on this issue but there does not seem to be an official policy.
Requesting a revaluation is probably a worse bet than any of the other tests since it is marked by computer. The website does not post the fees and ask you to contact the customer service team who will probably try to talk you out of it. Unless you know there was a mistake in the marking I can imagine it is really hard to get a change.

Need an PTE Tutor in Ottawa?
If you need a PTE tutor, the important thing to do first is determine whether you really want to take the PTE. You should probably be interested in the Universities that accept it such as McGill, Concordia or Trent and second whether the test suits your needs. If this is the case, first try a few practice test sites recommended in the PTE Practice Page
