I am by no means an CAEL authority in any official capacity but my purpose is to make things easier for you to find out where and how to take the test so hopefully this page saves you a bit of time over the official source.
Ottawa Locations

English Test Center (ETC) Ottawa

Algonquin College

There is no center in East Ottawa but in central Ottawa there is a new CAEL CE center called the ETC Ottawa at 150 Isabella St. Unit 155. just off Columbus Avenue. The other location to the west is at Algonquin College at 1385 Woodroffe Avenue. I have posted these addresses to show you where you will have to travel but do not contact either center for registration. Do it all at the official website under registration, which is surprisingly difficult to find on the CAEL website.

The only other option is to travel to Montreal. Although you will travel much further, you may find more date options. The two locations are at Concordia University at 1250 Guy Street, Montreal, or nearby at Herzing College 1616 Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest, Montreal

How to Register for CAEL
DO NOT contact Carleton University either by email or phone as they will direct all inquiries to the official CAEL website. The website will direct you to choose which test and the date you wish to take it. I find it an easier site to navigate than IELTS and TOEFL but testing center but if you are having any difficulties with the website and browsing through it just give us a call.
