If you would like to learn about the tests, simply look through the Tutor Services menu above and choose the test you are interested in. On each test page is information about the exam and a way to link to free resources and tutorial information.

​If you're looking for study resources and tips on a particular exam, go to our page on Tips for all English Exam Courses and choose a specific exam. There, you can get a range of helpful sites, both in TPS internal and external pages.

If you need to find a tutor, go to the Find a Tutor page. Then, choose the specific test you're studying and your general location. You can also go directly to Tutor Services and the exam page (e.g. IELTS Exam) and then to a specific location (e.g. IELTS Tutor Ottawa).

Process

We advise you to learn as much as you can about the exam you'll be preparing for by going to that particular exam under Tutor Services and then the exam. For example, if you are preparing for the SAT, you will follow Tutor Services --) SAT exam.

Look carefully for what the course entails under the Tutor Courses page as well as the Pricing and Policy page. Be clear about these matters before you book for an appointment.

Before booking a tutor, look at the Times and Dates page to find out availability. You need to confirm under the specific course and area. 

If all is fine up to this point, contact us at the register page.  There, you can either fill in a form or contact us directly by
​ e-mail or phone.

Materials

The tutor will supply you with teaching slides, booklets and supplementary material. Much of these are transferred directly to your computer. However, occasionally students may need to purchase books or online material from the official testing organizations.  We may require this for copyright issues. If you need to make purchases, the tutor will inform you before the course starts.

Other Services

Go to each exam page (e.g. SAT Exam). From there, you'll find links to tips, strategies and practice, relevant to each test. You can also find a pathway to them through the Tips for all exams page. The Tutor Services page will also provide sites for free practice exams. Some of these are provided by TPS, while others may be external links to official exam sites or reputable blogs.  Look at the Latest exam schedules page to check when you can register for the next test.
