TPS - SSAT Free Practise Tests
Advice for doing tests
SSAT sites and books give practice tests with the Synonyms and analogies sections and plenty of reading comprehension tests. It may be best to print them out and do them rather than doing them on a computer. It is important to stick to the time for each section with a clock.
Do written essays even though it is not marked. Schools will often look at the test if they are still not sure about your level so even though it receives no mark, it can have an important decision-making role.
The writing test prompts are extremely important to collect. They are most often proverbs that you are aksed to write about. Look at several model ansers before trying one because they are more anecdotal than persuasive.

Free Tests
In the English section, SAT is divided up into 5 sections:
1. Synonyms
2. Analogies
3. Math
4. Reading Comprehension
5. Writing
I have put the synonyms and analogies together in one site and the reading and writing in another. If you want whole tests you can go to the official SSAT site which divides the practice questions into elementary level, middle level, or upper level.
The next best tests that come close to the level of the real exams is put out by Ivy Global on pdf form: one for the middle level and the other for the upper level, but none for the elementary level that I could find.
You can also find full practice exams at prepskills.com. I have linked the upper level tessts but you can find others as well. Another site called SSATprep also gives free practice as well as another site called tutor4 exam. These three sites do not give the best exam questions and you may get a false sense of your level if you rely on them but in conjunction with the official ones and the Ivy Global exams they are good extra practice.
If you are looking for tests in specific areas, click below for free practice in synonyms, analogies, reading or writing.
