IELTS Dates, Time & Fees in Vancouver

There are so many centers that to keep track of all the changes in dates and times is difficult to constantly update.  Dates and Times are constantly changing. Checking Times and dates is complicated by the fact that there are British Council test centers, IDP test centers and the those that are independent.

The best sites to check:

1. IELTS Official Site
This is the best one to start with because it covers all test centers whether they be British Council, IDP or independent.

2. British Council IELTS Booking Site
This will only give you British Council Sites but arguably faster and less cumbersome if you know that the center you want to take the test is a British Council center

3. IDP Canada
 If you know it is an IDP Center or just prefer them, this site may save you some time.

4. Google Map search of IELTS centers
This gives a quick mapped location of centers but the list may not be all inclusive

IELTS Exam Fee

The IELTS test generally costs a whopping amount at these testing centers. I have listed them from Cheapest to most expensive: If this changes or is wrong, send me an email and I wil correct it. The IELTS test is now the most expensive of the major standardized tests so do check out the alternatives quite carefully before registering. Also check in the IELTS website for the list of penalty fees and appeal fees. Many consider the 5 week notice cancellation policy quite harsh. I have listed the 4 centers and the links to their cancellation policies:

Make sure you have a look through the appeal or remark system. Briefly it states that along with the appeal  fee of $160.00, you must wait approximately six weeks for your results. If there is an improvement, you get your refund back, if not they confiscate the full $160.
