The following page gives free test practice sites in CELPIP™ carefully selected for quality. It first exhausts all the free practice sites offered by Paragon Testing and then looks at those offered online.

TPS - CELPIP™ Free Practice
CELPIP™ was a bit hard to find for good quality free tests but more is now coming out as Paragon Testing seems to relax its restrictions. Due to the limited of tests offered online besides Paragon, I will link to a few that probably are not the best quality but are available.
Your first stop should be whatever resources are offered free on the official CELPIP site. As you go through the ones listed on Paragon CELPIP™ site, make sure you understand the flow and make notes on what they’re re testing. Then you may wish to purchase practice tests.
The first time you see a practice test, do not make that the one you do your first test because you will probably just need to use this one to familiarize yourself with the instructions. Make sure that you record and chart your score. Do not expect you will always do better than the last test but you see a general trend upwards, albeit often in a very non-linear way.

- If you are from either Vancouver or Toronto, you can register for a free pretest
Free Practice Tests
- The first one is the one released on their Paragon Testing official site which gives a sample from both the General and L&S
- You will also get a free online sample when you register for a test. CELPIP™ lets your purchase of practice material run for months. See if you can get a hold of someone who has already taken the test becase they will still have all their free tests and any purchased tests eligible if they purchased it less than 3 months ago.
- The fourth site is the Yingu 100 Xuexi.com site which translates to English 100 Study in Chinese. This site is in Chinese but you can get it translated.
By far, YouTube Videos are the largest source. Most are put out by Learning Centers that offer courses or tutoring.
- Just as a start, I would recommend you look through the Paragon test channel
- There are a number of free practice tests now on YouTube. One that provides a number of practice tests in listening reading, writing and speaking is called CAREERAXIS. They are not perfect simulations but they do follow the time structure while doing a practice test and they give you monotone model answers to the speaking test, as well as answer keys to the reading and listening tests and model writing.
- Another one is by Fast Track ESL, which for some reason is allowed to use actual older CELPIP™ material as a practice test. In both channels I would only use them after you have exhausted all the free material that Paragon Testing offers.
- CheckMark has a number of YouTube videos. To get the full list go to their CheckMark website and you will see the full listing of CELPIP videos
- Test Expert Online has a number of CELPIP “Practice Challenge” videos,
- Phoenix CELPIP has a number of practice tests on their channel.
Free CELPIP™ Tests R = reading S = speaking L = listening W = writing
Use any mistakes as a learning experience but also as a signal for collecting future resources to study. Do communicate with your tutor any problems.
