TPS - CELPIP Free Practice
CELPIP is a bit hard to find for good quality free tests so you may need to do some ESL style tests as well. Due to the limited of tests offered online besides Paragon I will link to a few that probably are not the best quality but are available.
Your first stop should be at the free resources on the official CELPIP site. As you go through the ones listed on Paragon CELPIP site, make sure you understand the flow and make notes on what they’re re testing. Then you may wish to purchase practice tests.
The first time you see a practice test, do not make that the one you do your first test because you will probably just need to use this one to familiarize yourself with the instructions. Make sure that you record and chart your score. Do not expect you will always do better than the last test but you see a general trend upwards, albeit often in a very non-linear way.

CELPIP General is the most common test (the L&S CELPIP is just a subsection of it) and is divided up into 3 sections

- An information session is free upon registration using GoToWebinar
- One specific to listening

- If you are from either Vancouver or Toronto, you can register for a free pretest
Free Practice Tests
- The first one is the one released on their secure.paragontesting official site which gives a sample from both the General and L&S
- You will also get a free online sample when you register for a test. CELPIP lets your purchase of practice material run for months. See if you can get a hold of someone who has already taken the test becase they will still have all their free tests and any purchased tests eligible if they purchased it less than 3 months ago.
- A website, probably based in South Asia and well out of the reach of the CELPIP legal reach is hightestscore.com which offer advice on speaking and better yet free practice tests
- A website blog gives free advice on common CELPIP errors. This one is a start but if you look to the right of the site you’ll see many more
- The fourth site is the Yingu 100 Xuexi.com site which translates to English 100 Study in Chinese. This site is in Chinese but you can get it translated.

- Checkmark has a number of YouTube videos. To get the full list go to their checkmark website and you will see the full listing of CELPIP videos
- The Guru Learning Institute puts out a series of CELPIP videos. They are not especially brilliant but they are free and can give some useful information. Scroll down towards the bottom to find them. They are after their CELBAN videos.
- Test Expert has a number of CELPIP “Practice Challenge” videos, and they can be helpful but skip over anything that seems too obvious
- English Mentor, a Korean channel Has a number of CELPIP Test Solution videos
- Sheri Hejazi produced a couple reasonable CELPIP videos – no worse than those produced by learning center channels
- There are a series of videos called Learn English that do have some relevance to CELPIP, although they are more like general English learning.
- There are a series of videos by Rhico Ricalde that do a nice job of collecting specific skills such as vocabulary for directions and letters

Use any mistakes as a learning experience but also as a signal for collecting future resources to study. Do communicate with your tutor any problems.
