Recommended Procedure for the Prospective Student
We suggest this procedure before registering for a course at TPS:
1. Research whether or not this course is for you. Even if someone told you that a particular test is a requirement, you should check carefully. You may discover that alternatives exist, or that some institutions exempt this exam.
2. Go into the TPS pages that feature the exam and find out it entails. Make sure you know what other exam options exist. For example, CELPIP and TOEFL are alternatives to IELTS, and ACT is often an alternative to the SAT.
3. Go to the courses page to see what a program would entail. Also, visit the student and tutor objectives page.
4. Visit the pricing and policy page to understand the necessary financial commitment is involved. In the first meeting, you and your tutor may feel uncomfortable if it turns out you were unaware of the cost involved.
5. Check available times and plan a schedule.
6. Contact TPS for an appointment. The consultation is free and will help you clearly know what you want out of a program.
7. Look carefully at the study plan the tutor has developed. Make any alterations you think are necessary.
