Free SSAT Reading Exams
The official site will give whole tests but not in parts. If you need it in parts the two best sites are Ivy Global for the reading test at the middle level in pdf and the upper level
Testprep Practice gives a good reading comprehension simulation as well.
If you are making any mistakes in the reading, note the kind of mistakes they are. Are they related to vocabulary or are they general comprehension questions?
A good site will often tell you what the test is trying to gauge. It usually should explain why you made a mistake however often you may still be confused. If you have made mistakes and you really cannot understand why feel free to send me an email or make a post to our SSAT blog

The best source of essay practice is the official source but if you just want writing practice you can try the Ivy Global site which has both one at the middle level and upper level. Many people find this is the hardest way to practice since once you complete the essay it is difficult to know how well you have done.
If you complete an essay, please send it to the TPS email (with our essay as an attachment) and it will be marked according to the standard used in SSAT exams. This is a free service and I welcome all (students and non-students) but it is limited to one per participant and can be refused at the discretion of TPS. Fill out the form below and do put your request in as well.
