Online tutoring is flexible for times and can be placed virtually anytime from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm ET. You need to download Zoom and for much of the lesson you will be on share screen mode. If you are from Vancouver remember you are 3 hours behind. A free consultation is usually done by Zoom.
CELPIP home tutoring lessons involve a free consultation at the beginning to determine needs and level. A more extensive test at the beginning can be arranged, however it will be billed according to the rate of a regular class. If a full extensive assessment is needed, you may request one at the beginning, billed at the same rate as a regular lesson. After the first class, 4 subsequent classes must be paid in advance. The first meeting involves a free consultation to find out needs and level. Classes involve a minimum of 2 hours at $60/hr or $120/lesson (each additional student is $15/hr).

1) Am I comfortable with the qualifications of the tutor? Demand to see them before you start. At TPS we require tutors to show them.
2) Am I sure of my schedule and whether or not I can sustain the time(s) I request?
3) Do I know enough about this test and my strengths and weaknesses so I can concentrate on skill building in the lesson?
4) Am I prepared to do lots of self-study in my spare time? This will help a tutor plan.
