TPS welcomes enrolment for CELPIP lessons from February 1st, 2018 in the Toronto area.
Online tutoring is flexible for times and can be placed virtually anytime from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm ET. You need to download Skype and for much of the lesson you will be on share screen mode. A free consultation is usually done by Zoom.
For home tutoring, the first meeting involves a free consultation with the tutor to determine needs and level. A more formal simulation full CELPIP test can be administered billed at the regular rate. The rate $60/hr or $120/lesson. Each additional student is $15/hr. After the first class, 4 subsequent classes must be paid in advance.

What to Discuss with your Tutor
The best approach with a tutor is to think of the various issues that a tutor would want to know regarding your strengths, challenges and experiences with CELPIP and the questions you might have. Here are some suggested topics.
1) Qualifications of the tutor. We expect and want you to ask this of the tutor. The tutor should be willing to show you documents such as degrees and proof of training in your test.
2) Your goals and knowledge of the test. CELPIP comes in 2 forms: 1. General ( Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking); 2. General L & S (Listening and Speaking). Depending on what you are taking the test for will determine the type of CELPIP and the score you are aiming for.
3) Your time availability. This is not just your time available for tutorial classes but also your time available for self-study.
