IELTS Test Dates, Times & Fees in Calgary
Online Testing
Probably in response to Duolingo and the aftermath of the 2020-2022 pandemic, IDP is now offering an online test that does not require you to go to a test center. If you prefer to take the IELTS test online, this can be done by going into the official website under online testing and booking from there. While it looks very convenient, please note that:
1. You need to download a portal so the technology is crucial
2. So far, only the IELTS Academic test is offered
3. There are strict rules about not looking away from the screen so note-taking is impossible. Also, even a small violation can get your test disqualified
4. The speaking test is by a human via a computer online video call

Dates are constantly changing so the best way to check test availablity is to go to the official booking site. Then, refine your search to Calgary so that you don't get every testing center in Canada. The complete list should show up. You can book tests directly from there

Look carefully at the costs at each center since centers are free to set their own prices and there does tend to be a difference between the price of paper based and computer based tests: There is no sales tax in Alberta so that saves you a bit of money.
