TOEFL Test Advice
Unless you are planning to take the Paper Based Test (PBT), you will most likely be doing the iBT test. If so, the most important issues are:
Go through the test and instructions first before trying the test. Make sure that you record and chart your score. Do not expect you will always do better than the last test but you should see a general trend upwards, albeit often in a very non-linear way.
The IELTS is divided into: 4 sub-skills:
It is strongly encouraged that you put your biggest effort in the speaking and writing sections, not because they are more important but they are the most changeable areas.
- Is it done on the computer and timed out like the real exam?
- Are answers given with explanation?
- Is the difficulty level appropriate?
- Is it up-to-date?
- Does it give some progression in the tests? Do they get harder?

Free TOEFL Practice
The listening and reading practice is mainly a list of the best ones. At some point I will create my own but for now go into these free sites.
The writing are links but will invite you to write one and send it in for a mark and analysis
The speaking is also a link and at some point I will create my own.
If you want whole tests you can go to the official test. For access to unlimited numbers of past questions go to the ETS TOEFL Interactive Sampler (you need to download it).
On that same site are a set of free questions and you can also get practice tests on the ETS student test prep planner. In another section of the ETS website are practice tests but you would have to pay for these. Instead try the free ETS offering of practice on its TOEFL Go Anywhere site which redirects you to the free stuff I have mentioned above. The Official site is now offering free webinar talks
For free non-official practice you can try Wiz IQ or i-courses (need to register). probably the better way to practice is through YouTube on the Study English Channel and the Nebraska Jones channel which both oddly get away with positing whole iBT tests on YouTube.
If you are looking for individual section tests click on the following:
