Acceptance of Duolingo English Test (DET) in Universities around the world

There are a variety of places that now accept Duolingo. The full list is on Duolingo's official site called Insitutions To save you tine, I will list some of the top universities in 4 countries: Canada, Australia, US an the UK. Here is an incomplete list (derived from the DET Official Site ) with the links to the admissions statements at the institutions
Canada
It seems that most institutions now accept DET including U of McGill, Concordia, U of Ottawa and Carleton, Queens University, Ryerson, SFU and Mount Allison. Notably absent is UBC & U of T.
US
While some of the prstigious universitites have yet to accept the DET, some very reputable universities are accepting, including many of the best know state universities,. While there may not be the Stanfprd Princeton and Harvard universities, Yale, University of Chicago and University of Pennsylvania and MIT are accepting it. Being a new test it may take a while for it to break the TOEFL monopoly but it will come.
Australia
In the land where PTE and IELTS reign supreme, Duolingo has still found some very reputable Australian universities to accept it
UK
Probably of the countries so far mentioned, Duolingo has the most work cut out for them getting accepted to universities in the UK, given the stranglehold Cabridge has with its IELTS test. Many of the opt pones do notyet accept it but some reputable ones do below including Exeter, UCL, Birmingham and Glasgow.

All test registration is done online and the best place to start is on the home site of Duolingo English Test (DET). They do encourage you to take a practice test first before purchasing it. From their you are directed to payment and then a download. Easy steps right?
