TPS - Finding an SAT Tutor in East Ottawa
This page gives available times and policies for taking tutorial classes in SAT specifically in Rockcliffe, Gloucester, Vanier and Cumberland areas. Finding a tutor to meet particular times is not difficult. The more difficult thing to do is to sort out a number of issues before you begin.
First, ask yourself whether you have to take it. We love your business but we want you to be sure that you really need this test. First, is going to a US college your desired career path. Does the college or University actually require it. Many students are surprised when I tell them that many institutions are no longer requiring it or that they can do an alternative like ACT. Others simply decide that they love Ottawa and would rather get their education locally, despite their parents wishes for them to go to an Ivy League university in the US.
Second, ask yourself how much do you know about the test and your strengths and weaknesses. You can research the test on our TPS SAT site and take a few of the sample SAT exams recommended by TPS. Be prepared to talk about your strengths and weaknesses with your tutor and tell him or her what you want to focus on.
Third, ask yourself what time plan you want to work within. How long do you want to study it for, how many days per week and what is the most suitable timeÉ We like it better when you have these issues already settled so that we can get down to the business of planning your course.
Home tutoring classes are open from September 1st, 2017. Every class is a minimum of 2 hours at $60/hr or $120/lesson and involves a free consultation at the start to find out needs and level. After the first class, 4 subsequent classes must be paid in advance.and involves a free consultation at the start to find out needs and level. If you require a full-fledged level test in SAT, this can be arranged but it will be billed according to the regular rate.
