One of the best sites to start with is the ESL site from the New York Public Library. There is a list of some of the links to more interactive sites with quizzes, games, puzzles
It links to a site by the TESL Journal called Activities for ESL Students and a nonprofit site that is also activities based called ManyThings.org which updates new activities regularly.
A very famous site among teachers but an equally good one for students particulrly with its help forum is Dave’s ESL Café - Stuff for Students
If you are looking for English at a higher level and in particular with a business edge a good bet is BBC Learning English
For video lessons websites one might look to engVid or another very popular one for video learning is called ESL Video.com and one more by the name of Manythings.org

Youtube Sites
One of my favourite sites is one that allows you to learn by stories called Learning English by Story by Doris Cashion. Here you can learn English with various stories levelled from Beginner to Advance, much in the same way that the old Oxford Bookworm stories would do with CDs. You might want to download these before someone decides to take these off the tube.
