This page shows the availability of a tutor in Ottawa and how you can prepare before receiving tutorials.
There are no shortage of tutors in Ottawa who are willing to teach SAT. TPS tutors are unique in that they must be both teachers and test prep experts and all are willing to show their qualifications to demonstrate this. Before any course begins demand that you have proof of a teaching qualifications.
Make sure that you do know a number of key issues before you begin your consultation with one.
1) You truly need it. This may seem strange for a tutorial school to request this since we love all new business but what often happens is that students find out visa vis research that they can still enter the college of their dreams without it or that perhaps they would prefer to stay in Canada after all. Sometimes there are alternatives such as ACT or IELTS. Imagine how frustrating it might be for a tutor to get involved in your course and have you cancel it because you found out you do not really require it.
2) You truly know the SAT exam. Use our Exam page to educate yourself. You do not want to have the tutor explain to you the features.
3) You know your strengths and weaknesses. This can easily be done by doing a few practice exams in our page on our practice page. Do mark them and let your teacher know which areas seem weakest and which are superior to the others.
4) Your time availability. The tutor is travelling for your free consultation so please be sure of your available times before you meet. It can be frustrating if you decide on a time but later find out it cannot be accommodated.

Available Times
We are currently enrolling students for February 2018. Please see the programs page for online tutoring and the rates. Online tutoring is flexible for times and can be placed virtually anytime from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm ET. If you are from Vancouver remember you are 3 hours behind.
SAT lessons are 2 hours at $60/hr or $120/lesson and involve a free consultation at the beginning to determine needs and level ($15/hr for each extra student). After the first lesson, the next four lessons must be paid in advance.
A more extensive SAT test at the beginning can be arranged, however it will be billed according to the rate of a regular class.
You can find that these times are sometimes changed to suit students at more convenient times but make sure that you are fairly certain about your time schedule. Do reflect on the time demands of other activities in your lives such as school, sports, work and be as realistic as you can about how intense you can make your study program.
