Tip #1: Know the Quebec Provincial Exam Structure and Your Strengths & Weaknesses

Before your teacher gets going with the provincials know the structure and types of questions of the Quebec Provincial test. A good knowledge of the test before you begin will make it easier for you to work with a tutor and plan a course that targets your needs better.  There are a number of questions you should be able to answer before approaching the test. Try to find these answers first in the  Provincial Exam  to find the answers and then check with the answers given below

1. How much time is the whole test?
2. How many words must you do in the writings?
3. What preparation should I do before writing?
4. What is the criteria for a good mark?
5. What role does grammar and word choice play
6. How can I make my writing more precise and elaborate at the same time?​
7. Look at rules section. Can you use dictionaries?
8. Do you use pencil or pen or both?

Answers

1. Students have 4 hours to complete the test
2, Students must write at least 750 words
3. Students should set up a note taking system, read and take notes, and write a draft, 
4. Writing should interpret rather than summarize, use knowledge of literary terms and devices in the writing, be precise with references, use writing conventions and write clean accurate grammar structures and referenced well in the text
